GIN RICKEY

Students were given the opportunity to create a typeface derived from the found type at the Henry Ford Archives.From my research from the archives, I was really interested in tackling this idea of a tall typeface with very low crossbars. They are derived from my research using a thick mono-width weight that resembles wood type and a homage to the art deco movement from the 1920s.
