I drove 8 hours to meet my best friend in Pittsburgh when she did a summer intership there! We stayed in the Omni Hotel in downtown because of her internships! I love going with this friend because she is the travel queen! 

We started our adventure at the Phipps Botanical Gardens. This was by far my favorite conservatory I have ever been to. Even better that the Washington D.C. one in my opinion! The tropical foilage and multiple rooms/floors are so complex it was hard to keep moving through! I could have stayed in each room for hours!

We began wandering and ended up at the Carneige Museum of Natural History. All of the Dinosaur bones found in Pennsylvania were on display there. They also had a crystal and gem room that was surrounded by mirrors that made the room look like there were thousands of them in a long hallway. They were all so bright and mesmerizing. I am sad that I did not see Tim Pierce (The Snail Guy from TikTok) because I wanted to hear a Snail Joke! 

We made our way over to the Carenige museum of Art that was connected to the History Museum. One of the most interestings rooms in the art museum was the Sculpture Room. It was basically a room of casts of old arctuectures to almost actual size! so all the great scultptures and arctiectures were all in one place! 

Our last day together we chose to drive out to the Pittsburgh Zoo! The animals were all so fun and active, even the Red Pandas came up to the window to play! I had an intense staring contest with this one giraffe, I think they thought the green strip in my hair was some tasty leaves! After our long morning out in the July heat with the animals we madeour way to the Strip District, its basically a bunch of little markets with items from all trades. 

We had one final lunch together and said our goodbyes as I head back to Michigan and she headed back to her internship!
