AUSTRALIA

After New Zealand, we landed in Brisbane, Australia.   From the airport we drove 2 hours north to Noosa. We stayed on the campgrounds of Habitat Noosa for three nights. I got up everynight at 2 am with the urge to go to the bathroom, from my cabin I would have to walk 50 feet to the bathroom, in the dark. The only thing I ran into was the ocassional Kangaroo, but they always scared the SH*T out of me! 

While we stayed there, we met with the native people of Australia, the Aborriginal people to learn different parts of their culture. They taught us how to make fire, how to play the digeridoo and how to throw a boomerang. I sucked at it. 

We took trucks on the beach of Fraser Island to bring us to a lake in the island. The water was super cold, I felt like I was swimming in Lake Superior! 

We left Noosa and headed south to the Gold Coast. We took 4x4 tours along the terrain that lined the coast, we saw beautiful views, wild kangaroos and wallabees. Fun Fact, the Wallabee is smaller and darker than the Kangroo! 

Before leaving for the airport to head to Sydney, I decided to get my ears pierced at a nearby salon , the piercer was awesome and I hope to run into them again! 

When we landed in Sydney, we went straight to the famous Opera House. We did a tour learning about the structure and its history seeing the different famous people that have visited as well. We also went to the different museums of history and the Sydney Botanical Garden. 

On the Very last day, Nicole and I took a trip to Bondi Beach, the most famous surfing beach in the world! I actually kinda taught myself surfing and I stoop up a couple times on the waves!  After our surfing adventure, we met up with some of our other travelers and had lunch at a cafe on the beach. 

At the end of the night a lot of us bought tickets to see an event at the Sydney Opera House. We saw Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, the acoustics throughout the room was amazing and everything felt so perfect in time.
